Debra Fehr Heindel is a career strategist with more than nineteen years experience working with clients in transition and in need of career development or career management expertise. She is a Founder and Managing Partner of Blended Learning Team, LLC, a Career Services Firm. A leader throughout her career, she has been a pioneer in the delivery of career development and management services in a virtual environment since 2001. Debra has been affiliated with a major international career services and outplacement firm since 1994. She is also the founder of the Christian-based career coaching practice called “Careers-By-The-Book” – combining Biblical principles with sound business career development strategies.
She began her professional career serving in the US military as a Personnel Officer in the position of Chief, Career Progression. A former USAF Captain, she also spent five years in the diplomatic circles of Washington, DC working in the National Capitol Region Office of Protocol and serving on the 1980 Presidential Inaugural Committee.
Her experience in Career Development & Management includes the development of a successful career transition program for over 10,000 military and family members living overseas, and affected by the defense department drawdown. She’s also delivered career management programs for various US corporations focused on developing resilience, change management, career focus & development, retention, and work force management.
Additionally, Debra has had an accomplished career in Marketing and Public Relations with major emphasis in the areas of promotions, special events, fundraising and community/media relations.
As a Career Coach / Strategist she has worked with clients from a broad range of occupations in various industries, including High Technology, Financial Services & Banking; Telecommunications; Healthcare, Manufacturing; Energy, Oil, Gas & Utilities; Automotive & Engineering; Biotech & Pharmaceutical; Retail; Insurance; Agriculture; Social Services; and Federal & State Government Agencies both military & Civil Servants.
Debra holds an MBA from Golden Gate University in San Francisco, California and a Bachelors Degree from the University of Pittsburgh in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. In addition, she has extensive career transition training through the US Department of Labor and is certified to deliver programs through MasteryWorks and other proprietary corporate programs.
